Dr. Martin B. Kalinowski earned his PhD in nuclear physics with a focus on international tritium control. He served as Professor of Science and Peace Research at the University of Hamburg, Germany, and worked for more than two decades in four different positions at the Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO).

He now works as an independent scientist on nuclear non‑proliferation and pathways toward a world free of nuclear weapons. He is the founder and coordinator of the Peace Science Collaboration (peacescience.net).
